Sara L. Owens, 79, of Poplar Grove, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Sunday, February 16, 2020. Sara was born on March 22, 1940 in Rock Falls, IL the daughter of Mildred (Burrows) Munrow. She married the love of her life, Tom E. Owens on May 13, 1961 in Belvidere, IL. Sara enjoyed spending her time cheering on the Chicago Cubs, scrapbooking and making cards to send to family and friends. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed dearly.

Sara is loved and will be missed by her children, Vanessa (Dennis) Owens-Nelson, Thomas (Jennifer) Owens; grandchildren, Jeffery Nelson, Joshua (Debbie) Nelson, Zane Owens, Zander Owens; great-grandchildren, Rose Nelson, Owen Nelson, Oliver Nelson; siblings, LaVonne Arand, Bob (Janet) Munrow; sister-in-law, Diane Owens as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sara is preceded in death by her husband Tom; mother, Mildred; brother-in-law, Jim Arand.

The visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m., Wednesday, February
19, 2020 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave.,
Belvidere, IL 61008. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February
20, 2020 at the funeral home with Rev. Wes Hulstedt officiating. Burial in
