Sandra Sue Smith, 73, of Loves Park, died Tuesday, July 5, 2011, in Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born May 7, 1938 in Rockford, daughter of Forrest and Elizabeth (Rasmussen) Smith. She attended First Baptist Church of Rockford and later became a member of First Evangelical Free Church. She professed a personal faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with whom she is now in the comfort of His presence, after a brief illness. Graduated from Rockford West High School, class of 1956. Sandra worked for J.I. Case Co., Barber Colman Co., and finished her career with Millward Brown Co. She enjoyed family get-togethers, vacations near Birchwood WI, and spending time at the "Y" swimming and exercising. Survived by her brother David M. (Idalla) Smith, nephews Jeffrey (Fabianne) Smith and Steven (Violet) Smith, uncle Gerald (Elsie) Smith, a nephew and several nieces and cousins. Predeceased by her parents.
