Belvidere, IL

Sandra L. Pufahl, 67, of Belvidere, IL, passed away Thursday evening, December 18, 2014 in the Emergency Room of OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a sudden illness.  Sandra was born February 2, 1947 in Belvidere, IL the daughter of John and Betty Keefe.  She married Larry D. Pufahl on October 22, 1977 in Woodstock, IL.  Over the years, Sandra worked in retail sales and as a bookkeeper; but will be mostly remembered as a loving and caring mother; she was a great mom.  She enjoyed crafts, gardening and cooking; she enjoyed canoeing and fishing as was a great comfort to many people.

Sandra is loved and will be missed by her children, Donald Burns of Albuquerque, NM; Michael burns of Scottsdale, AZ, Robert Burns of Belvidere, IL; stepdaughters, Jodi Schirmer and Jackie Pufahl; grandchildren, Morgan, James, Alexia, Kraig and Nathan; sister, Nancy; nieces Renee, Kelly and Kari.  Sandra is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Larry D. Pufahl.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL with Rev. Dan Schenck officiating.  Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to service time on Tuesday.  Burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Sharon, WI.  Memorials can be given in care of her family.  To light a candle or to share a memory, please visit www.AndersonFCS.com
