Ruth I. Simmerman, 79, of Belvidere, IL passed away January 17, 2023. She was born on August 5, 1943 to Violet and Howard Green. Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed shopping and spending quality time with those she loved. She graduated from Adrian High School in Michigan and was employed for many years at Combined Metals in Hampshire, IL as a billing clerk. She married Donald Simmerman, and together they enjoyed going on road trips and traveling together. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children: Pam (Dave) Cupp, Chari Johnson; 7 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom she loved dearly.

She is predeceased by her husband, Donald Simmerman; parents, Howard and Violet Green; son-in-law, Mark Johnson; siblings, Deana Evans, Frank Green, and Jean Miller.

Cremation rites accorded and a memorial at a later date.
