Ruth Helen Romans, 84, of Cherry Valley, IL. Passed away with family by her side on October 6, 2024. She was born on February 13, 1940, the daughter of Ella and Ellsworth Lee. Ruth was a deeply devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was strong willed, determined, and hard working. She worked for many years at Warner Electric and LeHans grocery store. Ruth Married Thomas Romans, and together they shared 39 years of marriage and 3 children.

She loved the children and grandchildren in her life deeply. A true "happy-go-lucky" spirit, she had an infectious laugh and an endless supply of hugs, making her the favorite grandma to her grandchildren.

Ruth is survived by her children; Sharon Sewick, William Romans Jr., and Linda Barnes, 4 grandchildren; Lesa Sewick, Wayne Romans, Steven Sewick, and Shana Sewick,

and 1 great grandchild; Sunnie Sewick, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members who she loved dearly.

She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, and siblings.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and per her wishes private family burial to take place at Belvidere Cemetery.
