KRAUSE, RUTH S. Sept. 19, 1906 - Dec 13, 2007, age 101. Beloved wife of the late Herbert A. Krause, loving mother of Betty Jo (Robert) McLeod, Alan (Barbara) Krause, and Anne (Jim) Wilson. Dear grandmother to William Cooper, JoAnna (Bob) Carroll, Beth Krause, Amy (Doug) Leaich, Andrea McLeod, Alex (Maura) Krause and Jenny Krause. GiGi (greatgrandma) to Patrick, Erica, Jessica, Ashley, Maddie, Stephen, Austin, Cooper, Madison, Caleb and Aidan.Born in Fort Worth TX, to Stanley and Maud (Woolley) Swindall. Ruth moved to Illinois in her teens, lived in Moline and Brookfield, then a farm in Spring Bluff MO, back to Brookfield, and finally to Rockford where she passed away peacefully at her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Jim Wilson. Ruth enjoyed life to the fullest, and her loving, thoughtful ways and good humor will be missed by all.Ruth was predeceased by her husband Herb, who died in 1965; by her sister Julia May Savana, brother Fred Swindall, and sister Nina Sattem; and by grandson Steven Krause and great-grandson Colton Leaich. The family wishes to extend a special thank-you to her Comfort Keepers over the past several years for their kind care and warm friendship.
