Ruth E. Kaiser, 80, of Belvidere, died Saturday, May 21, 2005 in Sherman Hospital, Elgin, Illinois following a sudden illness. She was born July 30, 1924 in Rockford to Robert and Maude Hough. Ruth married Edwin (Gus) Kaiser in Rockford, on July 23, 1943. She enjoyed making crafts, especially needlework, as well as a very active social life with friends and family. "She brought sunshine into all the lives she touched". Ruth is survived by her son, Dr. Gary (Dr. Sonja Schmitz) Kaiser, Arbutus, Maryland; two grandchildren, Matthew Kaiser and Brian (JeNae) Kaiser; a sister, Janet (Ronald) Miller-Gudie, Rockford, Illinois; a brother, Robert (Karen) Hough, Florida; two nephews, Rick (Mona) Petticoff and Mike (Gloria) Miller; three nieces, Jill (Tom) Johnson; Judy Rowe; Bonnie Birkett; and Special friend, Linda Hardy. She is predeceased by parents and her husband.
