Ruth A. Cranston, 94 of Cookeville, Tennessee and formerly of Belvidere passed away early Tuesday morning, April 28, 2015 at NHC nursing facility (Cookeville) after a lingering illness.  Ruth was born January 23, 1921 in Blaine, Illinois the daughter of Clarence and Mary (Warne) Nettleton.  She married Mr. Stuart Cranston on June 18, 1940 in Belvidere, he preceded her in death on March 24, 2005.  Ruth was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.  He was a former member of First Baptist Church, VFW and American Legion Auxiliary and the Ladies of the Moose.

Ruth is loved and will be missed by her children, Carol Ann (Raymond) Benton of Emmet, Idaho and Jean Susanne (Donald) Pollock of Cookeville, TN; son in-law, David Procter of Jefferson City, MO; eleven grandchildren and, numerous great-grandchildren; Ruth is predeceased by her parents, husband; daughter, Judith Mae Procter; three brothers and two sisters.
