Russell Harrison Ross, 83, died Thursday morning, August 9, 2007, Russell was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Russell married Anita Taylor on June 10, 1944. He is survived by his wife; son John Ross of Albany, Georgia; daughters Connie (Greg) Fowler of Poplar Grove and Nancy Ross of Menlo Park, California; four grandsons; brother Jack Ross of Dallas, Texas and sister Barbara Kurland of Sanibel, Florida.Russell entered Texas A&M College in 1942, then joined the Army Air Corps and began pilot training. He served in the European Theater as a P-51 fighter pilot, then returned to Texas A&M to study aeronautical engineering. He worked in the aerospace industry in California and Texas, and with the Chrysler Space Division in New Orleans, Louisiana.Russell was a member of the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ.
