Capron, IL

Russell R. Main of Capron, 1926-2018. Son of Marion Main and Laura Sawyer, raised later by Howard and Pearl Larson. Husband to Violet. Served in WWII from 1944-1946as an AOM in the Navy. Survived by daughter, Gayle (Daniel) Evans; sisters, Joyce Baker, and Norma Jean Snyder; grandchildren, Sonia (Jerry) Cooper and Robert (Lora) Evans; great-grandchildren, Danielle (Colton) Burkholder, Noah and Rhiannon Evans; and great-great-granddaughter, Maggie Burkholder; 3 step-grandchildren, Barb LaMere, Brenda Braun, and Scott Klicko; step-daughter-in-law, Sue Klicko; 6 step-great-grandchildren; and 2 step-great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, brother, Merle, sister, Donna Mae, and step-son, Fred Klicko.

A visitation will be held from 10:00-10:45 a.m., Friday, January 26, 2018 at Blaine United Methodist Church, 7200 Blaine Road, Poplar Grove, IL 61065 with Rev. Tom Hay officiating. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m., at the church. Burial in Capron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blaine United Methodist Church.
