Russell Lloyd Christensen, 104, formerly of Belvidere, IL passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023 in Dubuque, Iowa. Russell lived with his daughter Marsha in Dubuque for the past 6 years. Russell was born May 7, 1919 in Humboldt, IA. He served in the Army 43rd engineers during World War II in the South Pacific. He retired from Champion Packaging at age 65 and spent the next 15 years wintering in Arizona.

Russell is survived by his daughter, Marsha Braun (Steve Tigges). Steve became a very close friend to Russ. Grandsons, Christopher (Rachel) and Jason (Brianne) Braun: and great-grandchildren, Ally, Gianna, and Bodhi. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Dora M. (Dorothy).

A visitation will be held Monday, July 24, 2023, from 10-11am, at Anderson Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008. Funeral Services to follow, Reverend Keith Richard will officiate. Burial at Belvidere Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
