Born July 26, 1926 in Newman Grove, NE, he was the son of Walter and Olena (Nelson) Anderson. Russell loved snowmobiling, bowling, waterskiing, boating and traveling the world. He cherished the times he played poker with his farm and business fellows at the Wallem hangar at the Poplar Grove Airport.

He is loved and missed by his children, Linda (Ed Flanagan) Way, Larry (Libby Roth) Anderson, Dianne (John Drall) Onley, and Connie (Bob) Moore; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
