Ruby A. Butz, 98 of Belvidere, died Thursday, July 9, 2009 in O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center following a sudden illness. She was born on June 24, 1911 in Belvidere, the daughter of Julius and Mary Anne (Cline) Fields. Ruby married George Butz, Jr. in Belvidere on March 1, 1930. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Order of Eastern Star. Ruby and George were active members of the Belvidere Hobby Club. Ruby enjoyed making crafts and doll collecting. She attended Belvidere area schools. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Manarchy, Machesney Park, IL; two granddaughters, Angela (Nathan) Brown of Belvidere and Jennifer (Loel) Lanz of Bloomington. She is preceeded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and four sisters.
