Ruben Gonzalez, 83, of Poplar Grove, IL passed away Tuesday, December 29,2020 at Javon Bea Hospital. He was born August 16, 1937 in Durango, Mexico the son of Fidel Gonzalez and Angela Quezada. Ruben was married to his wife Esthela Fernandez in Mexico. Ruben enjoyed all things agriculture, going dancing and enjoyed spending time at parties with friends and family

He is loved and missed by his wife; children, Irma, Ruben, Miguel Angel, Martha, Julieta, Jose Luis, Ana Laura, Gerardo, Juan Manuel, 30 grandchildren, 7 siblings, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

The walk-through visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008. Social distancing and facemasks required. The funeral will take place at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 8, 2021 at St. James Catholic Church, 402 Church St, Belvidere, IL 61008.
