Royal A. White, 80, of Caledonia, IL passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, March 29, 2015 in Anam Care in Rockford.  Royal was born April 29, 1934 in Boone County, IL the son of Charles and Gladys E. (Trout) White.  He married Helen F. Schmitt on December 31, 1953 in Poplar Grove, IL.  Royal graduated from Belvidere High School in 1952 and began his working career with Shappert Engineering.  Royal moved onto Lamp Construction, building hospitals and schools, where he became a superintendent; later he formed Royal Realty after he purchased Realty World from Eileen Hill.  During this time he developed several subdivisions the last being Clines Ford.  Royal attended Hunter United Methodist Church; was past president of the Belvidere Board of Realtor as well as the Rockford Home Builders Association.  He was formerly involved with the Boy Scouts, Belvidere Youth Baseball and the Belvidere Lions Club.

Royal is loved and will be missed by his wife, Helen of Caledonia, children, Gordon (Debbie) of Belvidere, Royal A. (Rose Ann) of Caledonia, Russell (Darlene) of Belvidere, Kathleen White-Wise of Belvidere, Jacqui (Donald) Frederick of Belvidere; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Lucille Wallace of Rockford and Shirley Catron of Belvidere.  Royal is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Stanley White and an infant brother.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 3, 2015 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL with Rev. Tom Hay, pastor of Hunter United Methodist Church officiating.  Memorial visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Memorials can be given in care of the family.  To light a candle or to share a memory, please visit www.AndersonFCS.com
