Rowena Annalee White, 89, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully Sunday, March 1, 2015. Rowena was born February 24, 1926 in Jasper County, IL to Charles and Velma (Pippin) Hays. She married the love of her life Robert H. White on May 27, 1943. Rowena was a member of Davis United Methodist Church and served as President of the United Methodist Women. She was also the former superintendent of Sunday and Bible school. Former 4-H Leader, Boone County Extension Service and Survey Recorder for the American Cancer Society.
Rowena is deeply loved and will be missed by her children; daughters, Donna (Rod Becker) White of Monroe, WI, Trudy White of Sycamore, IL, and Merry (Richard) Deemer of Freeport, IL; son, Larry (Karleen) White of Kingston, IL; sister-in-law, Laura Hays of LaPorte, MN. Proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Rowena is predeceased by her loving husband, Robert; parents, brother, Donald Hays; sister, Marilyn Jean (Lorens) West; grandson, Phillip Strack and great grandson Nicholas Reed.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM March 6, 2015 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL with Rev.
