Our Son, Our Brother, is gone from us.

He died before he had lived.

He died before finding his place.

He died with too few knowing him.

He died not knowing how much he'll be missed.

We are numb with grief.

There are no words to describe our loss.

In life, we held him close; in death we hold him closer.

Ross died suddenly, Tuesday evening, July 7, 2015. He was born January 22, 1982 in Appleton, WI, son of John and Donna. He graduated from Belvidere High School in 2000, and from Bradley University in 2005. Ross worked at Entre Computers. His many interests included computers, music, the Green Bay Packers and most of all spending time with family and friends.

Ross is deeply loved and will be missed by his parents, John and Donna VanDeHey; sister, Shana (Brett) Schwanebeck; nieces and nephew, Isabella, Jaxson, Makenah; grandfather, Bill Greiner, numerous aunt, uncles, and cousins. Ross is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, and maternal grandmother.

Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008. Visitation will be held from 10:00-12:45 P.M., prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Rockford Rescue Mission or Boone County Food Pantry.
