Rosemary L. "Rosie" "Rose" Shook, 61, of Poplar Grove, Illinois past into the arms of her Savior on Saturday, June 9, 2012 in her home surrounded by her loving family. "Rosie" was born on August 22, 1950 in Whitehall, Wisconsin; the daughter of, George A. and Marion L. (Hagenbarth) Lyga. "Rosie" graduated from Independence Wisconsin High School, class of 1968. She married Ronald Lee Shook in Independence on April 19, 1969. She worked in assembly for General Electric Co.; then worked for Dr. Reese as a Receptionist and then for 25 years as a food manager for Edward's Apple Orchard. "Rosie" was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She enjoyed journaling, gardening, visiting shut-ins but, most of all winning souls over to Jesus Christ. "Rosie" is survived by her children, Dawn (Stacy) Meyerhoeffer, Dayton, Virginia; Joshua (Bridgette Decker) Shook, and Matthew B. (Dana) Shook, both of Poplar Grove, Illinois; five grandchildren, Ethan and Grant Shook; Hannah, Caleb and Sarah Meyerhoeffer; Justin Nabulsi; two sisters, Doris (Dean) Anderson, Strum, Wisconsin; MaryAnn (Tom) Bender, Osseo, Wisconsin; three brothers, George (Ethel) Lyga and Donald (Evelyn) Lyga, both of Independence, Wisconsin; and Billy (Shelia) Lyga, Poplar Grove, Illinois: honorary sister, Delores Woychik and many nieces and nephews. "Rosie" was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ronald.
