Rosemary Flynn, 91 of Poplar Grove, IL passed away peacefully early Monday morning, April 20, 2015 in Emeritus of Rockford.  Rosemary was born April 28, 1923 at Iola, Illinois the daughter of Estey and Zella (Allen) McGee.  Rosemary attended Lynn Branch School, a one room school and then Iola High School, prior to graduating from Flora High School.  She went on and graduated from Eastern Illinois State Teachers College in 1944.  Rosemary taught high school education at Nokomis, Divernon and Capron, IL, as well as teaching at Boone LeRoy Elementary School.  Rosemary and Mr. Franklyn W. Flynn were married on August 7, 1948 in Edgewood, Illinois.  She was an active member of Poplar Grove United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, especially the funeral lunch committee.  Rosemary also enjoyed flower gardening, reading and quilting.

Rosemary is loved and will be missed by her husband, Franklyn W. Flynn; children, Nancy Ann (John) Highstreet, William Allen (Joy) Flynn, Kevin Donald Flynn, Marilyn Kay (Tom) Lawrence; grandchildren, Lucas Christopher (Brenda) Flynn, Jason Edwin Highstreet, Marcie Elizabeth Flynn (Colin) Gillette; great grandchildren, Daniel Highstreet, Jacqulyn Highstreet, Gabriella Flynn, Izabelle Flynn, Tessabele Flynn, Liam Flynn, Molly Flynn.  Rosemary is preceded in death by her parents; brother Robert McGee; daughter- in-law, Patsy and nephews, David and Nicholas McGee.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2015 in Poplar Grove United Methodist Church, 105 E. Grove St, Poplar Grove, IL 61065.  Visitation will be from 11:00 to service time Friday at the Church. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery.
