Rose McLain Wylie, 86, of Belvidere, IL died peacefully, Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in North Woods Care Center. Rose was born April 15, 1932 in Belvidere, IL the daughter of Fredrick L. and Thelda F. (Weeks) McLain. She married Lonnie L. Wylie on July 22, 1975 in Belvidere. Rose was passionate about quilting and made her spiritual home at Calvary Baptist Church in Belvidere.

She is loved and missed by her daughter, Shirley Dickens; brother-in-law, Russell Bonar, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren as well a numerous nieces and nephews. Rose is preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie; parents; children, Susan, Robert; siblings, Robert, Nancy and James.

Funeral service for Rose and Lonnie will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 9,2018 at Pettit Memorial Chapel in Belvidere Cemetery, 1121 N. Main St, Belvidere, IL. A visitation will take place from 10:00 until the time of service. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
