Cherry Valley, ILRose Marie Stevens, 86, of Cherry Valley, Illinois died early Saturday morning, March 7, 2009 in Alma Nelson Nursing Home, Rockford, IL after a lingering illness. Rose was born February 15, 1923 in St. Louis, IL the daughter of George and Stella (York) Logan. She married Roy Stevens on January 24, 1945 in St. Louis. Rose retired from Admiral and Warner Electric and was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge 1052.She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann (Bob) Parrott of Cherry Valley; grandson Steve Parrott of Long Beach, CA; chosen great grandson, Timothy Strahorn, Jr. of Syracuse, N.Y.; sisters, Katie (Bill) Tate of Rockford, Norma Schulz of Moline, IL and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.Rose is predeceased by her parents, husband, four brothers, five sisters and chosen grandson, Timothy Strahorn.

A memorial will be established in her name and can be given in care of the family.
