Ronnie A. "Rooster" Rasmussen, 60, of Belvidere, passed away suddenly, Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in Knoxville, TN, after a motorcycle accident. Born January 9, 1957 in Belvidere, IL, son of Richard and Malva (Gustafson) Rasmussen. He graduated from Marengo High School, class of 1975. Ronnie married the love of his life, Renee Frederick,  on June 29, 1985 and they together raised two amazing sons. Ronnie was a machinist at Thomson Linear in Marengo for 42 years. He loved riding his motorcycle and hanging with the guys. Most of all, He loved spending time with his family and helping anyone that needed a hand. Ronnie would help and make time for anyone.

Ronnie is loved and missed by his soulmate and best friend, Renee; mother, Malva Rasmussen; children, Aaron (Ashley) Rasmussen, Andrew Rasmussen; grandson, Ethan Rasmussen; siblings, Randy (Margie) Rasmussen, and Cindy (Rick) Fagerstrom; mother and father-in-law, Larry and Sharon Frederick; sister-in-law, Annette (Charlie) Pax, brother-in-law, Donald (Jacqui) Frederick; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. Monty Fox officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery.
