Ronald "Ronnie" Scott Frederick, 55, of Belvidere, IL, went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2025. He was born on March 27, 1970, in Rockford, IL, the beloved son of Ronald Lee Frederick and Vianna (Groves).

Ronnie's life was changed after a spinal cord injury, but he never let it define him. With an unbreakable spirit and a heart of gold, he faced every challenge with strength, generosity, and humor. A true jokester and friend to everyone he met, Ronnie's warm and easy going nature made a lasting impact on all who knew him.

He attended Belvidere High School and later pursued his entrepreneurial spirit, providing bar and limousine services throughout the Rockford area. Ronnie took pride in his work and built lasting relationships within his community.

A proud Native American, Ronnie cherished his heritage and his extensive dreamcatcher collection. His faith was the cornerstone of his life—deep, unwavering, and evident to all who knew him. Many described him as a man with nine lives, having overcome numerous hardships through sheer will and the strength of his relationship with Jesus.

Ronnie was also a devoted animal lover, a loyal brother, and a steadfast friend. His legacy of kindness, resilience, and love will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.

He is survived by his siblings, Kevin (Sherri) Frederick, Heather (Doug) Mahurin, Dawn (Douglas) Frederick, Joseph (Ashlee) Frederick; aunts and uncles, Lynn (Mary) Frederick, Carol Schwartzkoph, Dean (Deenie) Frederick, Gary (Kesiah) Frederick, Reggie (Lilly) Hutchinson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends he loved dearly.

He is welcomed into heaven by his parents, Ronald and Vianna Frederick and sister, Michelle.

Ronnie's visitation will be Monday, August 4th at 10am at Anderson Funeral Home. Located at 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. Belvidere, IL 61008. Funeral service to follow at 11am with Burial at Belvidere Cemetery.
