Ronald E. Robinson, 67 of Rockford, IL, died Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Ronald was born March 24, 1947 in Belvidere, IL, son of Burt and Ruth (Larson) Robinson. He graduated from high school in 1965. Ron served in the United States Air Force. Ron married Regina Strait on May 26, 1979 in Rockford, IL. He worked for United Tool and Die, Atwood, Modern Metal, and most recently at Custom Metal Products Corp. Ron enjoyed working on cars, camping with his daughter and her family, watching racing, and bowling. His true joy was spending time with his family. He was a member of the YMCA and faithfully went daily.
He is loved and will be missed by his wife, Regina, of Rockford, IL; children, Debbie (Buddy) Axtell of Wrenshall, MN, Ronnie (Missy) Robinson of Rockford, IL; grandchildren, Koral, Bruddy, Donevin, Dylan; brothers, John Robinson of Belvidere, IL and Paul Robinson of Rockford, IL; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Paul, Kristin, and Keith. Ron is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, September 8, 2014 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL. Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M., Sunday, September 7, 2014 at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family.
