Ronald G. Jurs, 75, of Belvidere, died Thursday, August 23, 2012, in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born January 2, 1937 in Crystal Lake, son of Raymond and Lillian (Schroeder) Jurs. Married Mary Mothershed on February 15, 1980 in Crystal Lake. Ron worked as a school bus driver and retired from United Airlines as a cargo agent. Member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Ron loved to travel and was a history buff with a special interest in collecting Lincoln memorabilia. First and foremost was his unshakable faith in his Lord and Savior. Survivors include his loving wife Mary, daughters Christie (Jeffrey) Pfeiffer of Crystal Lake, Wendy (Albert) Stefan of Crystal Lake, Amy (Dennis) Blom of Arvada, CO, son-in-law Michael Feetterer of Crystal Lake, step-daughters Robin Vore of FL, Mary Rudder of Woodstock, Jackie Tant of Ark, step-sons Charles (Susie) Rudder of Ark, George (Shanie) Rudder of Oakwood Hills, 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, daughter Holly Feetterer, and brother Phil Jurs.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the church in Ron's name.
