Ronald Gaddis, 86, of Belvidere, IL passed away, Friday March 23,2018 in Northwoods Care Center in Belvidere. Ronald was born June 14,1931 in Decatur IL, the son of Wilford and Jessie (Turner) Gaddis. Ronald married the love of his life Ida Kathleen Harpster on December 16,1953 in Sullivan, IL. He graduated from Sullivan High School in 1949 and proudly served his county with the United States Air Force.  Ron worked for Chrysler for 31 years. He was passionate about cars, photography and loved his family. Ronald was a member the Belvidere Masonic Lodge #60 A.F. & A.M., Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #641 in Roscoe and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason with Valley of Freeport. Ronald made his spiritual home at Cathedral Baptist Church in Rockford.

Ronald is loved and will be missed by his wife; children, Debra (Dennis) Holder, Scott (Melanie) Gaddis; grandchildren, Ashley and Jared Gaddis; great-grandchildren, Issaiah and Jeremiah Gaddis. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2018 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008, with Rev. Tom Freeman officiating. A visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m. until 10:40 am with Masonic rites starting at 10:45 a.m. Burial in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery.
