Ronald Allen Cook, Sr., 71, of Belvidere, Il passed away peacefully, Sunday morning, May 20, 2018 in Janesville, WI after a short illness.  Ron was born September 2, 1946 in Des Plaines, Illinois the son of Wilfred and Margaret Maeo (Gillespie) Cook.  He graduated from Lake Park High School in 1964; following his high school graduation be was inducted into the US Marine Corps on November 16, 1965.  Ronald was the recipient of the Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnamese service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnamese Campaign Medal.  He was honorably discharged from service on November 16, 1969.  Ronald was employed by Mary Kay Cosmetics for 24 years retiring in 2012.  He married Sherry on September 2, 2005 at the Boone County Courthouse.

Ronald is loved and will be missed by his wife, Sherry; brother, Clarence (Linda) Cook; sister, Loretta Poulin and sister in-law Nancy Cook.  He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Butch Cook, Howard Cook and Richard Cook; as well as brother in-law, Richard Poulin.

Private Cremation ceremony will take place with Anderson Funeral and Cremation services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL.
