Ronald G. Chilson, 70, of Garden Prairie passed away Monday April 18, 2005 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 15, 1934 in Mauston, Wisconsin to George and Elsie (Stevens) Chilson. He served in the U.S. Army and the Army Reserves from 1958 – 1969 stationed in Virginia and Germany. He was owner and operator of Chilson Auto Sales for more than 30 years. He was a member of the Garden Prairie United Church of Christ where he served as Deacon. He was President of the Garden Prairie Improvement Association, a member of the Moose Club, Elk Club, and served on the Heritage Day Committee.He is survived by his significant other Christina Venters of Garden Prairie, daughters; Rhonda (Rodney) Alton of Monroe, Wi., Paula Chilson of Garden Prairie, sons; Ronald (Shannon) Chilson of Belvidere, Scott Chilson of Rockford, step-children; Julie McBride of Prairie Grove, AR., Craig McBride of Farmington, AR., 4 grandchildren; Rustin and Ryan Alton, Ashley Peaslee, Joseph Chilson, sisters; Alice Przybylski, Doris Wills, Jenny Pearson, Edna Tilley, brothers; Phillip Chilson, David Chilson, Douglas Chilson, and Terry Chilson. He is preceded in death by parents, and a son Joseph Chilson.
