Ronald J. Barr Sr., 78, of Belvidere, IL, died peacefully August 20, 2022, in Rockford, IL. He was born May 31, 1944, in Chicago, IL. He joined the Navy and married Linda Christensen. He worked for Chrysler BAP for 43 years and then retired. Ronald loved sports including Chicago football and the Cubs. Living to see the Cubs win the World Series in 2016 brought him great joy.

Ronald is loved and will be dearly missed by his daughter, Margo (Tim) Barr-Kosier; son, Ronald Barr II; and daughter, Ariel Barr.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda.

A memorial celebration will be from 3 to 6 p.m., Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Anderson Funeral & Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL. 61008.
