Roger Lewis Pfluger, 77, of Belvidere, died Friday, July 22, 2011 in his home surrounded by his family. Born October 25, 1933 in Itasca, son of Raymond and Martha (Smith) Pfluger. Married Ellen Rucker on April 14, 1979 in Belvidere. Faithfully served our country in the U.S. Army. Roger worked in sales, loved his John Deere tractors, was a woodworker, and always enjoyed yard work and tinkering on things around the house. He was devoted to his beloved dogs, Maggie, Lucy, Missy and Sheena.Survivors include his loving wife Ellen, sons Arthur (Rose) of AZ, Russell (Teresa) of Baraboo, WI, Edward "Jamie" (Rhonda) of Beloit, Terry Gerber of Maynardsville, TN, daughters Cathy (Dean) Lewis of Elkorn, WI, and Tina (Mark) Hurd of Rockford, 11 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, brothers Burton (Luceba) of Garden Prairie, Norman (Rose) of Addison, sister Lois (John) Gryzb of Lombard. Predeceased by his parents and infant sister Betty.
