Rodney Kent Weaver,79, of Poplar Grove, IL passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016. Born October 28, 1936, son of Anthony and Irene Weaver. Rodney married the love of his life Nancy Rowoldt on April 24, 1971. He was a graduate of West High School in 1954 where he played football and ran track. He then went on to serve his country with the United States Navy till 1957 on the USS John R. Pierce. Rodney worked at Beloit Pipe Line and Northern Illinois Pipe Line. He enjoyed fishing, reading, sports and his time volunteering at Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary.  Rodney made his spiritual home at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere.

Rodney is loved and will be missed by his wife, Nancy; children, Lisa (Steve) Snarski, Heather(Brack) Coalson; grandchildren, Megan Snarski, Reed Snarski, Aidan Coalson, Gavin Coalson and Cate Coalson. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 17, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1045 Belvidere Rd, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. Allan Buss officiating. Memorial gathering will take place an hour before service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary or to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rodney's Name.
