Rodney D. Nelson, 65, of Loves Park, formerly of Belvidere, died peacefully Friday, April 11, 2014. Born June 23, 1948 in Belvidere, IL, son of Robert and Hazel (Lapp) Nelson. He graduated from Belvidere High School, and then went on to join the United States Air Force. Rodney worked as a maintenance electrician at Elco and Rockford Silk Screen.
He is loved and will be missed by his daughter, Andrea (Chris) Leseberg; sister, Chris (Richard) Bjork; brother, Richard (Gail) Nelson; nieces, Heather and Wendy Nelson. He is preceded by his parents.
Memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev.
