Poplar Grove, ILRodney G. Flaker, 57, of Poplar Grove, IL died peacefully Thursday afternoon, August 23, 2012 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Rodney was born January 13, 1955 in Hollywood, CA the son of Valentine and EvaLou (Max) Flaker. Rodney was a commercial paint contractor in California. He loved music and attending concerts as well as spending time on the beautiful Californian beaches.Rodney is loved and will be missed by his sisters Yvonne (Stephen) Ekberg of Poplar Grove. Valene Moreno of Poplar Grove, David (Alicia) Flaker of California; half sister Carol (Rodney) Widger of Branson, MO nieces and nephews Shawndrese Kamin, Stephen Gifford, Sarah Moreno, Austin Ekberg, Davin Flaker and Alexis Flaker; step-father Chad Dooley of Branson, MO. Rodney is predeceased by his father Valentine Flaker and mother EvaLou Flaker-Dooley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given in care of the family.
