Roberta J. Hermanson, 90, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, December 9, 2014 in Northwoods Care Centre.  Roberta was born April 17, 1924 in Poplar Grove, IL, the daughter of Louis and Nina (Plato) Frint.  She married Vernon Lyle Hermanson on July 18, 1941 in Capron, IL.  Over the years she worked for Dean Foods, J.C. Penny and owned her own craft shop.  Roberta was a very talented crafter; she enjoyed traveling and was very social.  She and her husband enjoyed wintering in Texas and spending their summers in Wisconsin.  She will also be remembered as a devoted mother and loving grandmother.

Roberta is loved and will be missed by her children, Melaney (DeWayne) Reed of Barrington, IL, David Hermanson of Sandwich, IL; grandchildren, Jason Barker of Minnesota, Dana (Kevin) Jeffries of California, Bryan (Christa) Hermanson of New Jersey, Brooke (Tony) Barone of Aurora, IL; seven great-grandchildren.  She preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 15, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL, with Rev. Dan Schenck officiating.  A memorial gathering will be held from 10:00 AM to service time at the funeral home.
