Robert J. "Bob" Wensky, 75, of Belvidere, IL, died Monday, June 29, 2015 at Maple Crest Care Centre in Belvidere. Bob was born February 16, 1940 in Belvidere, IL, son of Arthur A. and Josephine M. (Vavrinek) Wensky. He married Jeannine Carlson on July 23, 1960 in Belvidere, IL. Bob worked as an electrical supervisor in the manufacturing industry. He had a passion for working on cars with his sons and son-in-laws. Bob loved helping his grandchildren with their demolition derby cars, fall clean-up work days, trips to Disney World, and was the Mayor of Deer Acres. He loved and was very proud of all his family.

Bob is loved and will be missed by his wife, Jeannine; children, Denise (Bob) Hauser, Michael Wensky, David (Kelli) Wensky, Michelle (Mike) Dixon; grandchildren, Nathan (Amber) Hauser, Logan Wensky, Erin (fiancé, Cody Laseman) Hauser, Alex Larrabee, Ethan Hauser, Parker Wensky, Dawson Wensky, Chelsey Dixon; sister, Joanne (Wayne) Kruger; mother-in-law, Marjorie Carlson; sister-in-laws, Joanne Wensky and Lana Carlson, several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Art L. Wensky.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. Cory Whitford officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the funeral home.
