Garden Prairie, IllinoisRobert O. Myers, 74 of Garden Prairie, IL died Saturday afternoon, June 6, 2009 in Alden Park Strathmoor Nursing Home after a lingering illness. Robert was born October 29, 1934 in Townsend, TN the son of Ernest and Mabel (Davis) Myers. He married Shirley M. Lee on December 5, 1953 in Belvidere. Robert retired from Chrysler Corp. where he worked in the paint department. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, his vegetable garden and was an avid NASCAR racing fan.Survivors include his wife, Shirley of Garden Prairie; son, Robert (Shirley) Myers, Jr. of Garden Prairie; daughters, Geri Myers of Rockford, Beverly (Hal) Larson of Belvidere, Betty (Scott Tendering) Myers of Hoffman Estates, IL; grandchildren, Alex (Tiffany) Rednour, Vanessa Rednour, Raymond Rednour, Rob (Sara) Larson, Matthew Larson, Brooke Myers, Zander Myers, Laiken Myers; great grandchildren, Anthony, Danya, Bailey, Marc, Destinee and Carley; uncle, Howard (Gerri) Myers of Maryville, TN; brothers Dale and Wilford Myers and sister in-laws, Mary Ann Myers all of Maryville, TN, Ruth Romans and Ethel Lee both of Belvidere, Shirley Lee of Garden Prairie; brother in-law, Russ Lee of Poplar Grove. Robert is predeceased by his parents; sons, John H. Myers and James E. Myers; brothers, Maynard and Henry Tolbert Myers; sister in-laws, Linda Myers, Alma Lee, Ruth Lee; brother in-laws, Emory, Ray, Kenny, Gordon, Stan, Robert, Howard Lee, Thomas Romans; great grandson, Ray Ray Rednour.
