Robert A. Hulstedt, 86, of Rockford, died Saturday, March 10, 2012 in Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center. Born February 18, 1926 in Boone County, son of Sigurd and Anna (Johnson) Hulstedt. Served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Married Genevieve Ellingson on September 5, 1953 in Capron, IL. She died in 2004. Robert lived his life as a farmer and worked for Rockford Products, retiring in 1988. He loved gardening and reading, was very involved with his children and grandchildren, and had been a very active member of the Evangelical Covenant Church. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his daughters, Cheryl (Bill) Jacobson of Rockford, Colleen (Tim) Johnson of Sanford, NC, Cindy (Phil) Johnson of Beullton, CA, 7 grandchildren, sister Elmy Holm of Rockford, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, wife Genevieve, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Evangelical Covenant Church or to Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center.
