Robert P. Hellner, 68, of Poplar Grove, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 18, 2015. He was born on March 30, 1947 in Berwyn, IL to Paul and Naoma (Paradee) Hellner.On March 11, 1983, Robert married Leona Grace Hellner in Geneva, IL. He enjoyed a career at Electro Motive where he worked as a Millwright. Robert enjoyed model trains and classic old movies. Robert truly loved his grandchildren, and his wife, Leona.

Robert is survived by 2 sons, Timothy (Teresa) Hopp, of Lake-in-the-Hills, IL and Bryan (Donna) Hopp, Crystal Lake, IL; 5 grandchildren, Daniel Hopp, Rebecca (Rob) Chung, Zachary Young, Lily Hopp and Leah Hopp; a sister-in-law, Carol (Ernie) Kellenberger and brother-in-law, Walter Schubert. He is predeceased in death by his parents and wife.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Chaplain Ed Greenfield officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Highland Garden of Memories.
