Robert "Bob" H. Gummerus, 62, of Loves Park, IL, died peacefully, January 9, 2020 in Belvidere, IL. Born June 28, 1957 in Neenah, Wisconsin to Sven and Jane Gummerus. He graduated from Belvidere High School in 1975 and had a long career at Elgiloy in the Specialty Metals department. He also worked many years as a Greenlee Operator at Barber Coleman. He started his career at the Belvedere Company.

Bob loved to fish including his trips to the Gulf of Mexico for salt water fishing. He was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan! Bob enjoyed working on his many cars and enjoyed estate sales. He particularly loved Volkswagens and won many awards at car shows for his VW van. He was also a member of the Stateline Volks Folks.

He will be deeply missed by his beloved siblings, John (Sue)
Gummerus of Dayton, Ohio, Sue Gummerus of Rockford, Richard (Vickey) Gummerus
of Belvidere, Karen Ethington of Mequon, Wisconsin, and Tom (Jennifer) Gummerus
of Belvidere; and dear uncle of numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents.

to 7 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation
