Robert S. Giesecke, 62, of Belvidere, IL, died in Rockford, IL January 28, 2022. He was born November 11, 1959, to Louis Benjamin and Ruth Jeanette Giesecke. He graduated from college with a bachelor's degree and worked as an engineer for 30 plus years with Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation now Raytheon Technologies. He was a member of the IOU club in Belvidere. Robert was a big help for the community, volunteering with his girlfriend, Pat Sabel for Boone County Emergency Management. He also volunteered with Feed The Need and volunteered for Belvidere Volunteers In Policing (VIP). Robert was also a member of The Big Thunder Amateur Radio Club working with ham radios.

He is loved and will be missed by his girlfriend, Pat; brother, Mike Giesecke; and many special friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Ruth; and grandparents.

A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 West Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008.
