Robert D. "Doug" Petroski, 52, of Poplar Grove, Illinois died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in his home following an extended illness. He was born on July, 10, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois; the son of Anthony J. and Donna (Stanton) Petroski. Doug graduated from Downers Grove South High School in Downers Grove, Illinois were he played football. He also attended the University of Iowa and was a member of the Fraternity of TKE. In his spare time he enjoyed quad wheeling, boating, skiing and traveling extensively. Doug worked for United Airlines as a ramp service technician at O'Hare airport for 26 years. He is survived by his parents, Anthony and Donna Petroski of Maryville, TN; sister, Chris (Joe) Sullivan of Atlanta, GA; several aunts, uncles and cousins; his significant other, Patricia Bartels, and friends, Susan Bartels and Joe (Jen) Curran; and his faithful dog, Booger.
