Robert Carter, 75, of Belvidere, IL died July 8, 2021, in Belvidere. He was born October 31, 1945 in Belvidere, son to William P. Carter and Gladys Anderson. He graduated from Belvidere High School and attended Rock Valley College where he trained as a computer programmer. Robert served in the army for two years and was stationed in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged. Robert married Sally Johnson in 1971, who preceded him in death. He worked at Dan Foss Equipment in Rockford, IL and Don Harrison Construction in Belvidere. Robert was a member of the Rockford Model A Restorer Club. His interests included antique cars and restoring Model A Fords. Robert was a proud owner of two Model A Fords. He had a very kind heart and loved watching local school sports teams and helping those students with their success on the sports field.

Robert is loved and will be missed by his brother, William H. (Lynell) Carter; sister, Rita Carter of Houston, TX; nephew, Joel W. Carter; and cousin, James Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents; niece, Amanda Carter; and baby sister, Joan Carter.
