Robert L. "Bob" Garner, 85, of South Beloit, passed away, Monday, October 23, 2017 at Saint Anthony Medical Center. He was born March 14, 1932 in Beloit, WI, son of James and Edna Garner. Bob was proud to serve his country in the United States Army.  He married Charlene Fors on June 26, 1965 in Wheaton, IL.  Bob made his spiritual home at Hunter United Methodist Church. He has been a Manchester Road Commissioner, member of the Farm Bureau, and the AMPI. Bob was a retired dairy farmer and part of the Goldaires singing group. He was an accomplished wood worker, and Bob liked to "Take a dash in the Nash", which was his pride and joy.

Bob is loved and missed by his loving wife, Charlene, and his sons, Steve (Renita) Garner and John Garner; brother, Richard E. Garner, and sister, Hazel Black. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Ellen L. Garner, and brother, Stan Garner.

A memorial service will held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Hunter United Methodist Church, 3315 Hunter Road, Caledonia, IL 61011 with Rev. Tom Hay officiating.
