Robert "Bob" Ballok, 65, of Belvidere, passed away peacefully, Monday, April 03, 2017. He was born July 18, 1951 in North Chicago, IL, son of Albert and Evelyn (Rhodes) Ballok. Bob married Janie Johnson on February 22, 1974 in Belvidere. He graduated from Marengo High School and  received his Associate's degree from Rock Valley College. Bob was the owner and operator of Transmission World in Rockford for 35 years.

Bob is loved and missed by his wife, Jane; children, David Ballok, and Chad (Mary) Ballok; grandchildren, Sterling Ballok and Charlotte Ballok; father, Albert Ballok; sister, Deb Ballok; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008. A visitation will be held from 9:00-10:45 a.m., prior to the service. Burial will be in Belvidere Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
