Robert John Arthur Tessman, 80, of Belvidere, died Thursday, September 15, 2011 in Northwoods Care Centre. Born September 18, 1930 in Tomah, WI, son of Max and Dora (Meyer) Tessman. Married Bernice (Love) Sellick on December 6, 1969, she died August 23, 2011. Served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Worked for Green Giant and as a heat treater at Arnold Engineering, retiring in 1996. Member of John Hugo Kaiser VFW, Belvidere Post, lifetime member of Boone Lake, enjoyed long walks in the park with his dog Toby, was an avid bowler, enjoyed fishing, camping and playing cards.Survivors include his sons Terry (June) Sellick and Rick Tessman, grandchildren Ryan (Kristin) McClenthen, Jesse McClenthen, and Brandt Beasley, great-granddaughter Madison Nighswonger, sister Shirley (Norman) Farel, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, wife Bernice, son James Sellick, brothers Harold and Bill Tessman, sisters Evelyn Odemoe, Lucille Tessman, Mary Spoor-VanSoest, Doris Cartwright-Beardsley, Lois Phillips and Hazel Busse.
