Richard J. "RJ" Daniels, 81, of Garden Prairie, IL passed
away peacefully, Saturday evening, October 19, 2019 after a lingering
illness. Richard was born July 1, 1938 in
Walworth, WI, the son of Raymond F. and Hazel N. (Schmidt) Daniels. He married
Roberta A. Wright on September 5, 1959 in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Belvidere,
IL, where he was a member and made his spiritual home, and to this union three
children were born. He founded the family businesses RJ Daniels Fuel and Tire and
JD Oil Inc. When he wasn't at the store,
he could be found fishing or farming and donating his time with the Belvidere
I.O.U. Club; and in the winter months, spending time in New Smyrna Beach, FL.

Richard is loved and will be missed by his wife, Roberta;
children, Angela J. (Yvonne Peterson) Daniels, Lisa J. (Jeff) Vance; daughter
in-law, Sandy Daniels; grandchildren,
Benjamin (Abby Meyers) Vance, Lucas(Jessica) Vance, Dana (Matt) Lloyd and
family, Jason (Amanda) Wahl and family; great granddaughter, Blakely Ray Vance;
chosen family, Allan and Marie Buss as well as his "four legged child", Skeeter
. The family acknowledges the loving
care, compassionate support and friendship given by his caregiver and friend,
Cindy Roman. RJ is preceded in death by
his parents and son Judd Daniels.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 25, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1045 Belvidere Road, Belvidere, IL and from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Lawrenceville Cemetery.
