Belvidere, ILRichard E. Meyers, 69, of Belvidere died peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 6, 2013. He was born September 1, 1943 in Belvidere, IL the son of Raymond and Eleanor (Molander) Meyers. Richard was a lifelong resident of Belvidere, and was the owner/operator of Meyers Trucking for 45 years. He was also a Boone County farmer for over 25 years. Richard was an avid antique tractor puller, belonging to the "Weekenders Club". Richard was an active Boone County Fair annual tractor pulling participant. He was also a die-hard Bears and Cubs fan. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and baby sister Marlene; daughter in-law Tammy S. (Wilson) Meyers. Richard is loved and will be missed by his wife Diana Meyers; sister Jackie Combs and family; son Dennis Meyers; daughters Teri Meyers, Becky (George) Tomecki, Victoria Meyers, Nicole (Leo) Knox; step daughter Cheri (Scott) Snuggs; grandchildren Steven, Kristina, Erik, Tyler, Keegan, Maggie, Alexis, Gracey, Mazey, Chase and Skyler.
