Richard Jay "Dick" Luhman entered into heaven on December 16, 2006 while at home.Dick was born February 18, 1943 the son of Richard James Luhman and Phyllis Jean (Brown) Luhman. Richard graduated from Belvidere High School in 1961. He married Sharon Brooks. Richard later married the love of his life Janice (Lewis) Luhman in Rochester Minnesota. Richard was a member of the Belvidere Fire Department for 21 years retiring honorably, and later worked for Meyer Material for 11 years before retiring. He was a member of the VFW and also Sons of the American Legion. Richard loved to travel and spent a lot of time at his summer home at Lake Koshkonong. He and his wife Jan, were also snowbirds, and spent many of their winters in Florida. Richard is survived by his adoring wife Janice Luhman, loving children: Kellie (Jeff) Wirth, Darin Luhman (Amy Harris), and Amie (Tony) Stumpf; cherished grandchildren, Autumn and Chelsea Wirth, Cydney and Sadie Luhman, Shayleigh and Tristin Stumpf, and Zachary Luhman; loving parents, Phyllis (Paul) Cunningham; siblings: Sonjia (Jim) Olstad, and Carol Lusz, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, and son Shane Luhman. Burial will take place at a later date in Belvidere Cemetery.
