Richard L. Graham, 75, of Marengo, IL, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014 in Rosewood Care Center of Rockford, following a long illness. Born January 16, 1939 in Spring Township, IL; the son of Ivan B. and Herma F. (Matison) Graham. He was retired from Laborers Local 1035 were he was a past Vice-President. He was a veteran serving in the Marine Corp from 1956 to 1958. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, bowling, fishing and going to the River Boat. Richard is survived by his daughter, Debra Sillanpaa, Cherry Valley, IL; 3 grandchildren, Tiffany Kremsreiter, Danielle (Aaron) Powers, Bruce (Chessa) Sillanpaa, Jr.; 5 great-grandchildren, Xzandria and Darius Fort; Elliot and Tristen Sillanpaa and Leighton Sillanpaa; 2 sisters, Pat (Jerry) Roth, Judy (Ben) Charlet; the Mother of his children, Linda Graham; many nieces and nephews; special friends, James, Kathy and Kevin Yates. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Denise L. Graham; 4 sisters, Bernice Graham, Arlene Osterberg, Elaine Tice, Carol Gibbs; 2 brothers, Russell and Gerald Graham.

Cremation to take place with Graveside services 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2014 at the Garden Prairie Cemetery. The Rev. Allan Buss, Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, officiating.
