Richard Crocker, 80, of Belvidere, IL passed away November 20, 2018. He came into this world October 22, 1938 in Marengo, IL to two loving parents, Gilbert and Helen (Knutson) Crocker.  Richard married the love of his life, Barbara (Bartell) Crocker, on December 30, 1961 here in Belvidere, IL. He was a member of the US Army from 1961 to 1963, serving a year in Korea. Richard was a true handyman, some may even call him Mr. Fix-it, and it showed in his work at Belvedere Company where he worked in the upholstery department for many years. He enjoyed taking care of his yard, gardening, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is a member of the American Legion, VFW, and Moose Lodge.

Richard is loved and will be missed by wife, Barbara; daughters, Lisa (Pat) Morrow and Sherri (Dan) O'Malley; Son, Bob (Lisa) Crocker; Sisters, Nancy Johnson, Patricia Brenz, Marjory Yerk, Jean (Danny) Schmidt, Peggy (Everett) Osgood, and Linda (Wally) Green; grandchildren, Donald and Ally Morrow, Katie and Julia O'Malley, Wilton, Adeline, Thomas, and Graydon Crocker; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Wayne and Daniel Crocker.

The family would like to give a special thank you to OSF Center for Cancer Care and OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Memorials under Richard's name may be made out to the family for an organization to be determined at a later date.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008, with Father Sabo officiating.
